Idiot Strategy: Hyping

You are in a podium, sitting and intently listening on one of the boring presentations done by a MLM rep, busy studying whether their market could work in your area or not or whether you are a victim of a scam, there are a lot of things going on your head then suddenly at the back of a room you hear a scream YYYESSSS!!!! (TAMAA!!!!) everytime the speaker speaks about something. Those screams don’t sound natural and has a very ANNOYING bell in it. – they’re what we call the Hypers.
Just F***ing annoying...

Hypers are people who are already members of the company trying to act as non-members and agreeing to everything the speaker says. Their purpose is to hype the non-member to register in the business and probably to give confidence to the boring speaker so that he will be more boring.

Sometimes, the members are instructed to do 'pseudo-agreement' whenever the speakers say anything about anything just to entice their already beleaguered prospect. Trust me, you would normally see this in MLM companies that has a registration fee of more than PHP 2,000.00 ($45.00).

Hyping was a method done in pyramid scams long before MLM businesses came about. It was an effective method then until people realized these hypers are lying in front of their faces. Sadly, the method was transferred by unscrupulous individuals in Network Marketing. This is one of the reasons why Networking has a bad vibe.

My tip would be to shut the mouth of these hypers in your network if you have one as it gives a bad vibe in your presentation and you wouldn’t want to annoy your prospects or ‘their’ prospects.
